Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
